An International Driving Permit (IDP) is a translation of an individual's domestic Australian driver's licence photo card into nine (9) languages, assisting a licence holder to drive in a foreign country. Roadside assistance when driving overseasMake the most of your RACQ membership and take advantage of our worldwide network of reciprocal roadside assistance services. RACQ is a member of the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). FIA clubs provide a broad range of services to each other's members, when travelling abroad for up to three months. Mostly, these services are similar to those we provide to you now. Many countries around the world provide reciprocal services, but not all. To use FIA services while overseas, you’ll need your RACQ membership card.
